A lawmaker representing Mayom County of South Sudan's Unity State at the National Legislative Assembly says five passengers were shot dead while traveling from the Western Bahr al Ghazal State capital Wau to Unity State Tuesday evening; A new report by Amnesty International faults South Sudan government and SPLM-IO forces and holdout group National Salvation Front for carrying out mass sexual violence in Central Equatoria State; The Amnesty International report also calls on the UN Security Council to renew an arms embargo it first imposed on South Sudan in 2018; Three county commissioners and a state minister have been arrested for allegedly fueling the conflict between the Ngok Dinka of Abyei and the Twic community of Warrap State.
