Private Initiative Seeks to Eradicate Malaria in Zambia
More than 80% of Zambia's population is at risk of malaria. The "Partners for a Malaria-Free Zambia" program, a Rotary Club-led initiative, in partnership with World Vision and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, has an ambitious goal: reducing malaria by 90% in ten target districts. Martha Lungu, the executive director of Malaria Partners Zambia, describes the impact of malaria in Zambia and the eradication program's aspirations and progress.
