The South Sudan government has launched nationwide public consultations for the establishment of the Commission for Truth, Reconciliation, and Healing; Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) living in what was formerly known as the Protection of Civilians Site in the Jonglei State capital Bor are urging the government to speed up implementation of the peace agreement so that they can return to their villages; Sudanese lawyers and human rights activists are applauding the International Criminal Court for beginning the trial of one of the individuals accused of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Darfur
