Women worldwide are working hard to attain independence in many areas of their lives, however, Covid-19 is not only threatening their health, but also the strides that have been made in gender equality and economic empowerment, which may set them back for decades. On the next edition of #VOAOurVoices, we'll introduce you to women, including our colleagues from KTN News in Kenya, who are stepping up to the financial challenges created by the pandemic by starting businesses to ensure economic security to stay empowered and not revert back to traditional gender roles.
