South Sudan authorities beef up security amid inter-communal violence [3:53]

The minister of local government and law enforcement in Western Equatoria State, James Severino Morris, says his office has dispatched the police and members of the South Sudan Peoples Defense Force to restore calm in the town of Tambura. The bishop of the Catholic church in the state is urging the government of South Sudan to protect civilians who are caught up in inter-communal violence which has forced residents of the county to take cover in the church and in U.N. compounds. Morris tell VOA’s John Tanza, that the situation in Tambura County is complicated.
