New opposition party influences election campaign in South Africa

Political observers in South Africa say the formation of the opposition Umkhonto we Sizwe party seems to have forced the ANC to bring out the country's former leaders to campaign ahead of the coming national elections. VOA's Peter Clottey spoke with Professor Tinyiko Maluleka, a senior research fellow at the University of Pretoria Center for the Advancement of Scholarship, about the influence of the new party in South Africa.
