Talks at the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, have gone into overtime, and delegates from developing nations say the draft plan for climate funding is inadequate. A Ghanaian political scientist says despite some challenges, the country’s process leading to next month’s election has been transparent. Regional expert says that although Sudan’s peace talks are stalled, the Sudanese Army appears more willing now than in the past to reach a negotiated conclusion to its war with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
