Africa News Tonight: ICC issues warrants for Israeli, Hamas leaders, study says big powers ramp up rivalry, Guinea activists still missing
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defense minister Yoav Gallant, and for the Hamas leader Ibrahim Al-Masri for alleged crimes against humanity and war crimes. A new study by Carnegie's Middle East Program shows that the United States, Russia, and China are intensifying their competition for global influence, including in the Middle East and North Africa. In Guinea Conakry, the whereabouts of two activists reported missing in the capital in July remain unknown, despite calls by the United States, the United Nations and rights groups for their release.
