Ahead of the election in the United States, some Africa analysts say the new U.S. administration must pour resources, investments and goodwill into a continent Washington often has neglected. The two major U.S. presidential candidates, former President Donald Trump, and Vice President Kamala Harris are in the last week of their tight race. Chad's President Mahamat Idriss Deby has launched a security operation to track down and neutralize several hundred Boko Haram fighters who on Sunday attacked and killed more than 40 Chad government troops in the Lake Chad Basin.
