South Africa held national elections on Wednesday in the most competitive election in 30 years. Yazeed Kamaldien spoke to voters in Cape Town about why the election is important to them.
South Africa held its seventh democratic election on Wednesday. The main parties vying for votes are the majority African National Congress, official opposition Democratic Alliance and the controversial Economic Freedom Fighters. A host of smaller parties also competed for offices. Voters looked ahead to the election results with hope and skepticism. Yazeed Kamaldien reports.
