Donald Trump, the U.S.’s president-elect and Republican nominee for the 2024 elections on Wednesday won the race to the White House after he received 292 electoral votes, including those from Texas, one of seven states that played a pivotal role in his victory.
Besides winning the electoral votes, Trump also won the popular vote in the U.S. presidential election. In Texas, he defeated his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris by over 1.5 million votes.
