Zambia’s opposition PNUP party endorses President Hichilema

In Zambia, the leader of the opposition Party for National Unity and Progress (PNUP) has endorsed President Hakainde Hichilema's re-election bid. Highvie Hamududu, a former parliamentarian and presidential candidate, says Hichilema's economic policy is the core reason for the endorsement. It comes as opposition groups accuse the government of failing to resolve the energy crisis and tough economic conditions, including the high cost of living.
