Youth, African Economies to Gain From Billion Dollar US Pledges

The U.S. plans to invest at least $55 billion in Africa over the next three years. The announcement came ahead of President Joe Biden's statement that pledged $15 billion dollars in trade and investment partnerships during the recent U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington. In an interview with VOA's Peter Clottey, Ramin Toloui, the U.S. State Department's assistant secretary of state for economic and business affairs, explains the benefit of the pledges, particularly for Africa's youth.
