WHO urges cross-border coordination to boost polio vaccination

One in 200 polio infections leads to irreversible paralysis. According to the WHO Africa, among those paralyzed about five to ten percent die once their muscles become immobilized. World Health Organization regional director for Africa Matshidiso Moeti says cross-border coordination, vaccinating children, and leveraging technology are key to success against polio.
