WHO Projects Tobacco-Related Deaths to Double in Africa

Tobacco is the leading cause of preventable death in the world and kills over 8 million people each year, according to the World Health Organization, which projects tobacco-induced deaths to double between 2002 and 2030 in low and middle-income countries, including in Africa.
