Official results from Rwanda’s presidential election showed incumbent President Paul Kagame winning re-election with near-unanimous support. With most of the votes counted, Kagame had won about 99 percent of the vote. Police in Kenya fired tear gas on Tuesday to disperse protestors calling for a “total shutdown” of the country.
