A new report by British and Sundanese researchers reveals that more than 61,000 people are estimated to have died in Khartoum state during the first 14 months of Sudan’s civil war and is much higher than previously recorded. Senegalese voters head to the polls Sunday to determine whether the new president and government can gain control over the national assembly.
