US Global AIDS Coordinator Hails PEPFAR Response to HIV/AIDS Pandemic

The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, PEPFAR, was established in 2003. Since then, over $100 billion has been invested in the global HIV/AIDS response through PEPFAR. According to U.S government data, the program has saved 25 million lives and prevented millions of HIV infections.
