US Envoy to Libya Calls for Political Solution, Reconciliation Efforts

U.S. special envoy to Libya Richard Norland has been increasingly involved in efforts to encourage Libyan rivals to reach a political solution, meeting with all parties and calling on them to resolve the political impasse, promote reconciliation and the equitable distribution of resources and the formation of a joint military unit. VOA senior analyst Mohamed Elshinnawi spoke to Norland at the fifth annual conference of the National Council on U.S.-Libya Relations in Washington D.C.
