Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is hosting another round of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, as he seeks to reassure allies that the United States is committed to defending the country. For the latest in Secretary Austin’s convening of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group as well as Niger’s announcement severing defense ties with the US, VOA’s Esther Githui-Ewart spoke to VOA Pentagon Correspondent Carla Babb.
