There were new violations on Thursday of Sudan’s short-term ceasefire which took effect on Tuesday. The UN says the fighting between the Sudan military and the Rapid Support Forces has forced more than 1.3 million people to flee the country. Mohammed al-Ta’ishi, former member of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council, tells Daybreak Africa host James Butty, ceasefire violations were reported not only in Khartoum, but in El Fasher, Darfur.
