Unlocking Opportunities for Africa’s Women Entrepreneurs

Sub-Saharan Africa has the world’s highest rate of women entrepreneurship, according to the 2021 MasterCard Index of Women Entrepreneurs. But studies also show that women face widespread discrimination in business, and battle to access the finance they need to grow their enterprises. Pamela Coke-Hamilton, executive director of the International Trade Center, tells Straight Talk Africa host Haydé Adams while these barriers need to be eliminated, there are ways women can succeed and benefit from new business and trade opportunities on the continent.
