UNICEF Nutrition Report Raises Concerns for Women, Adolescent Girls

In a new report released Tuesday, ahead of International Women’s Day, UNICEF says malnutrition among mothers and adolescent girls has soared by 25% over the last three years in a dozen countries, most of them in Africa.
Christiane Rudert, nutrition advisor for UNICEF, points to conflict, drought, flooding and climate change as causes, among other factors. VOA’s Carol Van Dam spoke to Rudert for more.
