The United Nations Human Rights Office said it was “appalled by the draconian and discriminatory anti-gay bill that [Uganda] passed into law," U.N. spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said late Tuesday during a press conference in New York.
"I mean, to put it clearly, no one should be penalized, jailed, criminalized for whom they love,” Dujarric added.
