UN Agency Calls For Sustained Pause in Gaza Attacks

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) says it welcomes any respite from the suffering of the people of Gaza. However, spokesperson Juliette Touma says the important thing is for such a reprieve to really happen and be sustained. This, as Israel announced Thursday a pause in its military operations in northern Gaza for four hours a day. UNRWA spokesperson Touma tells VOA’s James Butty, her agency wants a sustained humanitarian ceasefire to expand its operations across the Middle Eastern enclave between Israel and Egypt.
