Ugandan diaspora organization honors former VOA journalist Shaka Ssali

Shaka Ssali, the former host of VOA’s flagship weekly program Straight Talk Africa, was recently awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to media in Africa. The Ugandan North American Association, or UNAA, honored the veteran journalist during their annual convention. VOA’s Paul Ndiho reports from National Harbor, Maryland.
