Tunisians Protest in Solidarity With Black Africans After President’s Comments

Protests over Tunisia President Kais Saied’s statements on sub-Saharan Africans have continued with advocates denouncing racism and expressing solidarity. Saied made his comments last week vowing to tackle an influx of migrants coming from sub-Saharan Africa “with all the violence, crime and unacceptable practices that entails.”  VOA’s Mohamed Elshinnawi spoke to Ahmed Gaaloul, former Tunisian minister of youth and sports, on what may have motivated Saied’s comments.
