Some analysts are describing former President Donald Trump's pick for vice president as part of a long-term plan for the party's survival. Strategic analyst and partner at Scribe Strategies & Advisors in Washington, DC, Joseph Szlavik, says Trump likely picked JD Vance, 39, to carry the torch for the party because of his young age and similarity to Trump's positions. Szlavik, who is at the RNC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, tells VOA's Paul Ndiho that Vance was a "good pick" over the other candidates.
