Former U.S. President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 felony counts Tuesday in the first ever criminal case against a former U.S. president. Trump’s indictment comes as the former president continues his bid to retake the White House in 2024.   Todd Belt, professor at George Washington University, tells VOA's Carol Van Dam in-light of the charges, Trump remains the GOP presidential frontrunner and the criminal charges have only rejuvenated his base.
