Top US general visits West Africa

A top U.S. general is making a rare trip to Africa for talks on maintaining a U.S. presence in West Africa, after U.S. troops were forced to withdraw from Niger and Chad. General CQ Brown, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, addressed reporters right before he touched down in Botswana on Monday, stating he will speak with several partners in the region.
