The Gambia Mourns VP

The people of The Gambia are mourning the death of Vice President Badara Alieu Joof, who died Wednesday in India at the age of 65.
President Adama Barrow has described the late Joof as a competent, patriotic and honest Gambian.
Government spokesperson Ebrima Sankareh tells VOA’s James Butty President Barrow has declared a seven days of national mourning which began Wednesday.
