Adeeb Yousif, the former governor of Central Darfur state, says the situation in his country needs urgent intervention. Yousif was trapped in Darfur when conflict erupted in the country last year. He was involved in the evacuation of families in need of special care, and also coordinated much needed help to residents of Darfur who were caught up in battle zones within residential areas. He tells VOA's John Tanza that Sudan needs help from the international community.
