Tech Report: Azam TV Engineer Bridges Tech Gender Gap

According to Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority statistics, women hold only 25% of technology related jobs in Tanzania, and just 10% of students earning degrees in computer science are women and girls. The country is actively working to reduce the gender gap in its rapidly growing tech industry, but persistent gender inequality still exists within the field. VOA’s Paul Ndiho spoke with Pellagia Njau, a broadcast engineer at Azam TV, a VOA affiliate station, about her efforts to bridge the gap.
