Tanzania VP Mpango addresses COP29 summit

Tanzania’s Vice President Philip Isdor Mpango Tuesday addressed the COP29 climate summit. He said climate change is costing the East African nation between 2-3% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), adding that approximately $19,3 billion will be needed by 2030 to ensure that Dar es Salaam can deliver on its action plans that were submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on climate change that are focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
