Earlier this year, Muhammad Awad and his family were among dozens who fled Sudan's Tuti Island amid a siege by the Rapid Support Forces. After months of surviving on scarce food and enduring the constant threat of disease, they found refuge in a shelter. Reuters’ Alice Rizzo reports.
