At the Gorom refugee camp near the South Sudan capital, Juba, elderly Sudanese refugees and those with chronic health conditions are grappling with the profound impact of the country's conflict. Some refugees living with illnesses like diabetes are facing dire challenges as they lack access to essential medical services within the camp. A health official at the settlement explains that only registered refugees are referred to Juba Teaching Hospital for medical care not available on-site.
