Medical workers in the Sudanese capital are risking their lives to save others as intense fighting between Sudan’s army and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces continues across the capital, Khartoum. VOA's Nabeel Biajo reached Dr. Rashid Mukhtar, who is currently volunteering with Project HOPE, a global health and humanitarian organization, at Anaw hospital in Omdurman. He says hospitals in his area are losing patients with gunshot wounds and dialysis patients due to an acute shortage in blood and a general lack of medical supplies.
