International and regional donors have pledged some $1.5 billion dollars to address the humanitarian fallout from Sudan’s nine-week-long conflict. Lenzi Kinzli is head of communications at the World Food Program in Sudan. She tells VOA’s Nabeel Biajo the pledge comes up short of meeting the massive humanitarian needs in Sudan as well as neighboring countries that are taking in hundreds of thousands of people fleeing the conflict.
