The key players in the shuttle diplomacy aimed at ending the conflict between the Sudan Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, are hoping to build on a deal reached Tuesday with the paramilitary. Sudan's former Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok is leading the civilian coalition called Taqadum, attempting to bring an end to the nine-month conflict and restore democratic rule in Sudan. Former Sudanese ambassador to the United States, Nureldin Satti, a member of Taqadum, is currently in Nairobi, Kenya, where efforts continue to bring together the warring generals for peace talks. VOA's Nabeel Biajo spoke with Satti about the coalition, its objectives, and the upcoming steps in their conflict resolution efforts.
