South Sudanese political leaders say the upcoming visit by the pope, archbishop of Canterbury and the moderator general of the Church of Scotland could be a turning point in the country’s politics. Government and opposition officials say they expect the papal visit will enhance the implementation of the peace agreement which is behind schedule.
