A member of parliament representing Cueibet county in South Sudan's national legislative assembly, Juol Nhonmngek Daniel, asserts that the speaker of the house lacks the authority to initiate an investigation without prior consultations. Daniel contends that the recently formed committee tasked with investigating the governor of Western Equatoria State is operating unlawfully. He is urging fellow lawmakers to scrutinize the actions of the speaker who sanctioned the formation of the committee. For more, Daniel spoke with VOA's John Tanza.
