President Salva Kiir continues to assure South Sudanese citizens that the long-delayed elections will indeed take place in 2024. However, there are concerns expressed by certain South Sudanese individuals living in the diaspora. Among these individuals is a retired senior political officer from the United Nations who has served in four peacekeeping missions across Africa.
