South Sudanese civil society activists are expressing concern about ongoing conflict and what they describe as high political tension, as well as threats to civilians from both state and non-state actors. The activists say, as the transitional period comes to an end, they want South Sudan’s political leaders to ensure a peaceful nation-building process that is inclusive and people–centered.
