SSPDF Troops Deployed to Upper Nile State [2:39]

The South Sudan People’s Defense Force has deployed troops to the Chollo Kingom in Upper Nile State to deescalate ongoing violence between the Agwelek militia loyal to General Johnson Olony and an armed militia from neighboring Jonglei State called the White Army which invaded the area. An army spokesman says the soldiers were instructed by President Salva Kiir to use force should the White Army resist an order to withdraw from the area.
