South Sudan Judge Rejects Rehire Offer

Malek Mathiang, one of the 14 judges fired by South Sudan President Salva Kiir for protesting poor working conditions in 2017, rejected an offer by the government to reapply for his job. For South Sudan in Focus, Dimo Silva Aurelio reports that Mathiang says he abides by a ruling of the East African Court of Justice demanding the judges be reinstated.
