South Sudan journalist detained

A former director of the government-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Cooperation was recently taken into custody by men in uniform. The Union of Journalists of South Sudan says Adel Faris is being held by the National Security Service. A spokesman for the spy agency did not admit or deny involvement in the journalist’s arrest.
