Heavy gunfire erupted in South Sudan’s capital, Juba, Thursday night sparking fear across the town. The spokesman for South Sudan Peoples Defense Forces General, Lul Ruai Koang, told VOA in an exclusive interview that forces guarding the house of former spy chief Akol Koor Kuc exchanged fire leading to sustained gun fire at Thongping residential area. The UN has ordered its staff to shelter in place.
