South Africans commemorate 30th anniversary post-apartheid, prepare for 2024 elections

South Africans over the weekend commemorated Freedom Day, a day set aside to remember the first democratic elections that were held in the nation after the end of Apartheid.
While South Africans commemorated the day, they also continued preparations for the upcoming May 29 elections which experts say will likely result in a historic loss of parliamentary seats for the governing African National Congress, ANC.
