Health practitioners have turned to South Africa for a new clinical trial to assess the efficacy of the first new tuberculosis, TB, vaccine which would prevent the pulmonary disease responsible for killing at least 3,500 adolescents and adults worldwide per day, according to the World Health Organization, WHO.
