Somalian Woman Leads Female Refugee Group in Kenya

It has been 32 years since Fatuma Diriye and her family arrived at the Dadaab Refugee Camp after fleeing civil war in her country, Somalia. Despite challenges, she attended school and went on to lead a group of women in generating income to fend for their families. On this International Women’s Day, VOA’s Saida Swaleh features Fatuma’s story and others of endurance and resilience after an investment was made on her thus accelerating progress in her community.
